Manifesto to the Ukrainian Youth of the World

A resolution of the International Youth Conference for the association's first anniversary.

At a time when Ukraine is fighting for freedom, independence and its right to exist, Ukrainian soldiers defend our state every day in the struggle against Russian aggression, while millions of Ukrainians around the world unite their efforts for Ukraine’s victory and a just peace. We are convinced that youth plays an active and responsible role in shaping the present and determining the direction of development of Ukraine and the global Ukrainian community.

The Ukrainian diaspora is one of the most powerful civil society forces supporting Ukraine around the world. On 17 April 2026, the European Congress of Ukrainians initiated the establishment of a Youth Council for the first time in its modern history, while continuing to actively work in the fields of volunteering, scientific and educational support for Ukraine and Ukrainians abroad.

The Bern Declaration adopted by the Ukrainian World Congress on 7 June 2026 reaffirmed the unity of Ukrainian communities around the world and outlined the strategic priorities for the development of the global Ukrainian community. The younger generation of Ukrainians is an active participant in advancing the fundamental priorities of our time: preserving identity, respecting fundamental human values, and establishing and developing resilient institutions that enable people to realize their talents and freedoms.

During the World Ukrainian Summit in Bern, youth leaders from Europe, North America, Australia and other regions of the world supported the initiative to hold the First Global Online Meeting of Ukrainian Youth Abroad. Our task is to unite Ukrainian communities around common challenges, priorities and practical actions; to create a space for continuous dialogue, coordination and cooperation among Ukrainian youth organizations around the world. This is how new and, most importantly, effective solutions emerge at a time of crisis in the international relations system and the search for ways out of it.

Ukrainian Youth Around the World Unites Around Strategic Goals: Ukraine’s victory in the war against Russian aggression. Preserving and strengthening international political, military, humanitarian and economic support for Ukraine. Ukraine’s full membership in the European Union and NATO. Holding the Russian Federation and those responsible for war crimes internationally accountable. Using frozen Russian assets for the reconstruction of Ukraine. Ensuring long-term security guarantees for the Ukrainian state. The participation of the younger generation in the future reconstruction of Ukraine. Preserving the Ukrainian language, culture and national identity among young people abroad. Preserving the historical memory of the Ukrainian people and countering attempts to distort it. Preventing the assimilation of Ukrainian youth in their countries of residence.

We Call on Ukrainian Youth Organizations Around the World to Act. Building on the decisions of the International Conference, we call on Ukrainian youth organizations, student associations, youth councils, civil society institutions and active young Ukrainians around the world to direct their efforts towards: supporting volunteer and humanitarian initiatives for the benefit of Ukraine and its defenders; advocating for Ukrainian interests in countries of residence through cooperation with public authorities, political parties, the media and civil society; countering Russian propaganda and disinformation; developing youth diplomacy and international partnerships; supporting Ukrainian educational, cultural and scientific projects; developing cooperation between the youth of Ukraine and Ukrainian youth in the diaspora; engaging young people in civic activities and fostering a new generation of Ukrainian leaders; supporting Ukrainian schools, youth organizations and cultural centers abroad; implementing joint international projects aimed at supporting Ukraine and developing the global Ukrainian community.

A Common Future Through Joint Action. The present and future of Ukrainian youth are shaped by our collective actions. Therefore, by the decision of the Summit and the International Conference, we initiate the First Global Online Meeting of Ukrainian Youth Abroad, to be held in autumn 2026 as a platform for discussing common challenges, developing practical solutions and taking coordinated action. We express our gratitude to everyone for their joint efforts. Together, we can be more effective. Together — Victory. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!
